The temple found by the crusaders was the octagonal Dome of the Rock built in the 7th century on a sufi mathematical design, and restored in 913. Sufi legend of the temple accords with the Masonic version. The Soloman of sufi builders legend is not King Soloman. But the sufi king MAARUF KARKHI (died 815), desciple of DAVID (Daud of Tai, died 781) and known to us as the SON OF DAVID. SOLOMAN, son of DAVID, the martyr of the sufi builder is MANSUR EL HALLAJ (858-922), juridically murdered because of the sufi secret, which he spoke in a manner which could not be understood, and was dismembered as a heretic.
The pillars of the temple are really elders. One pillar is ABUL FAIZ. He is the great grandfather of DAVID, (Maaruf Karkhi, died 860) and is also THUBAN ABULFAIZ DHUL NUN the Egyptian founder of the MALAMATI order of the sufis, similar to the Masons.
