A protocol has emerged for internet meeting and matching in which men offer their phone numbers, giving women the opportunity to call. Men who do this aren’t necessarily expecting women to call and pursue them. They are acknowledging that women are sometimes reluctant to give out their phone numbers for security reasons. A guy who does this is telling you that he is interested and would like to hear from you.

Men pursuing women is a relationship relic. The internet is a great social leveler, so many of the old rules don’t apply.

He is often aware of the problem in crude form, and his literary and philosophical roots give him little ability to realize that the problem comes from the idea that there is only “struggle or be struggled against”. The inablity to make others do what we want and the reverse, the fear of being controlled by others, with the consequent loss of identity. These opposites are exagerated in paranoid thinking, one of the most prevalent mentak symptoms of western man. Since he cannot learn, or is hampered from learning by paranoia, he falls back on his conditioned being. The things he has been taught, or memorized, become absolute truth.

The Culture of Poverty

The single mothers who live in ghettos must be grateful that welfare pays their rent and food. Many are also grateful to have a warm man in their beds. I knew three of these bed warmers. They were all ex-cons and drug dealers. One of them was my daughter’s boyfriend. He beat her up a few times and got arrested. The court sent him to anger management school. He’s still selling drugs. My daughter wants him back. Go figure.

Like most drug dealing boyfriends of single mothers, he is unemployable due to his criminal history. Programs designed to aid these felons help only a few. The majority who sign up for these HELP programs do so only to avoid prison.

We knew ao little about the culture of poverty until Katrina. The repot that Fresno is home to high poverty came as a surprise to local officials. I wonder why.

The muslim protests over the Pope’s emarks seem to confirm the western view that muslims can become violent whenever anyone says the prophet’s feet were not washed. The media jumps on this news like flies on crap.

Taliban

A twelve year old boy was recently videotaped cutting the head off a man accused of being a spy for the americans in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Madrassa shools in these countries are taught by extremist clerics . Their lessons teach the students hatred for the west. Especially america. They teach students how to become suicide bombers. No one has yet to understand why these muslim clerics hate america so much while they enjoy the benefits and electronic marvels the west provides. Perhaps its because the west does not embrace Islam as the one true religion. Nowhere in the Qur’an does it condone the killing of non-believers. The Qur’an also prohibits the killing of innocents..

Religion and Politics

How do you deal with people who believe they are right and all others are wrong? What kind of conflict arises when we cannot discuss anything without reciting passages from holy books. Such a path leads only to chaos.

The current religious conflict is not confined to the hateful Islamic extremists who call themselves Muslim but do not follow the Qur’an. The hate filled muslims are fighting because the west (christianity) invaded muslim lands. The view such an invasion as a war against Islam.

Bush does not want to admit that by invading a muslim country, he has started a religious war.

The plot for 9/11 was not hatched in Iraq. It was hatched by a Saudi named Bin Laden in Afghanistan who once worked for the CIA.

Avoiding reality results in negative consequences. The Bush fantasy of bringing democracy to the middle east is equal to the fantasy that america could bring democracy to southeast asia. Reality does not work that way.
